WaiterPlease may use cookies, local storage, session tokens, or similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, maintain sessions, improve security, and understand how the Service is being used.
Depending on how the platform is configured, some cookies may be essential for the Service to function, while others may be used for analytics or performance monitoring. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.
Optional customization: If you use analytics, advertising, session replay, heatmaps, or third-party tracking tools, add them here explicitly before publishing.
5. When We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With restaurants/business users: so they can receive and manage customer requests sent through the platform.
- With service providers: such as hosting, infrastructure, email, support, security, backup, and analytics providers who help us operate the Service.
- For legal or safety reasons: where disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers: if WaiterPlease is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.
- With consent or at your direction: where you ask us to share specific information.
Restaurants that use WaiterPlease may handle information under their own internal policies and procedures once they receive it through the platform.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate operational and security needs.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the restaurant’s configuration, and applicable legal or contractual requirements. We may also retain de-identified, aggregated, or statistical information that does not reasonably identify an individual.
Optional customization: If you already know your real retention rules, replace this section with exact periods (for example, request logs kept for X months, support emails for Y years, inactive accounts deleted after Z months, etc.).
7. International Transfers
WaiterPlease may use infrastructure, vendors, or support services located in more than one country. As a result, information may be processed or stored outside the country where it was originally collected.
Where applicable, we aim to use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational measures to protect information during cross-border processing.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, authentication controls, logging, backups, network protections, and secure hosting practices.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users and restaurants are also responsible for protecting their devices, credentials, and internal access controls.
